Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Positionsermittlung einer medizinischen Invasivkomponente bei einem invasiven Eingriff in einen Patientenkörper sowie ein medizinischen System, das zum Ausführen eines solchen Verfahren eingerichtet ist. Das Verfahren weist die folgenden Schritte auf: a) Senden von wenigstens drei Ultraschallsignalen (S1, S2, S3), b) Einkoppeln der gesendeten Ultraschallsignale (S1, S2, S3) in den Patientenkörper (B) an jeweils einer in Bezug auf ein Bezugskoordinatensystem (Z) bekannten Einkoppelposition (P1, P2, P3), c) Empfangen der eingekoppelten Ultraschallsignale (S1, S2, S3) mittels wenigstens eines ersten an der Invasivkomponente (2) angeordneten Empfängers (12), d) Ermitteln einer räumlichen Position (XI) des resten Empfängers (12) in Bezug auf das Bezugskoordinatensystem (Z) in Abhängigkeit der Ultraschallsignale (S1, S2, S3) mittels Lateration und e) Anzeigen der ermittelten Position (X1).The invention relates to a method for determining the position of a medical invasive component during an invasive intervention in a patient body, and to a medical system which is designed for carrying out such a method.
