PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedaling travel device which can be attached to and detached from a conventional wheelchair and which allows a person in the wheelchair to perform rehabilitation for himself/herself by moving one pedal of the pedaling travel device with the healthy foot to rotate a drive wheel and moving the paralyzed foot with the other pedal, and to provide a wheelchair using the pedaling travel device.SOLUTION: A pedaling travel device includes: a pedal shaft provided in a substantially central part of the rising part provided in the front part of a base frame a mechanism for rotating a drive wheel attached to the rear part of the base frame by the rotation of the pedal shaft through rotative power transmitting means and a mechanism for changing the travelling direction with a steering wheel provided through a steering wheel support part attached to the rising part. The pedaling travel device is provided with attaching/detaching means for attaching/detaching the pedaling travel device to/from a conventional wheelchair. The attaching/detaching means is provided with an adjusting mechanism for fitting the height and width of the wheelchair and adjusting and fixing means for adjusting the position of a handle for operating the steering wheel forward and backward.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】 在来の車椅子に着脱可能で、健常な足により片方のペダルを動かすことで、駆動輪を回転させるとともに、麻痺した足を他方のペダルで動かすことにより、搭乗者自身の力で、リハビリテーションを行うのが可能な足漕ぎ装置とそれを用いた車椅子を提供する。【解決手段】 ベースフレームの前方に設けられた立ち上がり部のほぼ中央にペダル軸をもうけ、回転動力伝達手段を介して、ペダル軸の回転により、ベースフレームに後方に取り付けた駆動輪を回転させる機構と、立ち上がり部に取り付けられた操舵輪支持部を介して設けられた操舵輪により走行方向を変える機構とを有する足漕ぎ装置に、在来の車椅子に着脱させるための着脱手段を設ける。該着脱手段には、車椅子の高さや幅に適合させるための調整機構と、操舵輪を操作するためのハンドルの位置を、前後に調整するための調整固定手段を設ける。【選択図】図1
