It is proposed a basin (26) adapted to contain a volatile liquid to be diffused into the atmosphere, the basin (26) containing an access opening from the outside to the volatile liquid contained therein； a dispensing material (12) adapted to be in fluid communication with the basin (26) through the access opening to allow the volatile liquid to diffuse into the atmosphere； the basin (26) including an anti-dripping system comprising an absorbing element being disposed in the basin (26) by covering the access opening.It is also proposed a corresponding process for dispensing volatile liquid comprising the steps of providing the dispensing device, plugging the reservoir into the filling port of the device, thereby making the volatile liquid therein into fluid communication with the basin (26) of the device； placing the dispensing material of the device into fluid communication with the basin through the access opening.
