The present invention relates to a retractable wheel type walking aid and, more specifically, to a retractable wheel type walking aid which comprises: a fixed pipe (10) installed in a vertical direction in the left and right sides of the rear side of a frame (2)； a cover (20) installed in the lower part of the fixed pipe and having wheels capable of being inserted thereinto； a moving tube (30) ascending and descending in the fixed pipe and having a wheel shaft-installed in the lower part； a spring means (40) elastically connecting a brake lever and a brake pad； and an operation control means (50) stopping an operation by elastically inserting wheels into the cover with the weight of itself or pressing a handle by a release of the fixed state of the moving pipe and a braking operation by the brake pad while the spring means ascends by pulling the brake lever. The present invention: is able to definitely prevent movement even in a case of the elderly or patients with weak muscular strength of arms since the bottom of a cover, not a wheel, comes in contact with the ground surface and stops an operation by elastically inserting wheels into the cover as well as operating the brake of the wheels； and greatly improves the safety of use especially by safely stopping an operation not only in an area of a horizontal ground but also in an inclined area.본 발명은 바퀴 출몰식 보행 보조장치에 관한 것으로서, 좀더 상세하게는 프레임(2)의 후방 좌우에 상하로 설치되는 고정관(10)과, 상기 고정관 하부에 설치되어 바퀴가 삽입 가능한 커(20)버와, 상기 고정관 내부에서 승하강하고 하부에 바퀴가 축 설치되는 이동관(30)과, 브레이크 레버와 브레이크 패드를 탄발적으로 연결하는 스프링 수단(40) 및, 상기 브레이크 레버를 당김에 의해 스프링 수단이 상승하면서 브레이크 패드에 의한 브레이킹 작동과 이동관의 고정 해제에 의해 손잡이를 누르거나 자체 중량으로 바퀴를 커버 내부로 탄발 삽입시키면서 정지 작동하는 작동 제어수단(50)에 의해 바퀴의 브레이크 작동은 물론 바퀴를 커버 내부로 탄발 삽입시켜 바퀴가 아닌 커버 바닥이 지면에 접촉하면서 정지 작동하므로 노인이나 팔의 근력이 약한 환자의 경우에도 이동을 확실히 방지할 수 있고, 특히 지면이 수평 지역은 물론 경사를 이루는 지역에서도 안전하게 정지 작동할 수 있어 사용 안전성을 크게 향상시키도록 하는데 그 특징이 있다.
