[PROBLEMS] To provide a denture stabilizer that without feeling of unpleasant sweet, enables fitting of a denture in the oral cavity. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] There is provided a denture stabilizer comprising water, ethanol and 11 to 25% of cellulose derivative wherein the cellulose derivative exhibits a 2% viscosity at 25°C of 30 to 45 mPa s. Examples of the cellulose derivatives include water-soluble cellulose ethers, such as methylcellulose, ethylcellulose, hydroxylated alkylcelluloses (hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, hydroxyethylcellulose, etc.), carboxymethylcellulose, alkali metal carboxymethylcelluloses (sodium carboxymethylcellulose, potassium carboxymethylcellulose, etc.) and alkali metal cellulose sulfate salts. Among them, hydroxylated alkylcelluloses, carboxymethylcellulose and alkali metal carboxymethylcelluloses are preferred. Sodium carboxymethylcellulose is still preferred.
