PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for producing a tea-based alcoholic beverage having "aroma originated from tea leaves", "deliciousness/body touch", and "mild alcoholic aftertaste" in a good balance. SOLUTION: This method for producing the tea-based alcoholic beverage includes a process for extracting a raw material with a solvent containing 5 to 80 wt.% alcohol to obtain a tea extract. The raw material comprises a processed tea leaf product and tea leaves (b) in a weight ratio of 1:9 to 1:0. The processed tea leaf product is obtained by a method for adding 1 to 100 pts.wt. of water to 100 pts.wt. of tea leaves (a) and then extruder-processing the mixture (herein, the highest temperature in a cylinder in the extruder-processing time is 80 to 150°C, and the highest pressure in the cylinder in the extruder-processing time is 0.2 to 30 MPa).
