PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide powder type ω3 highly unsaturated fatty acid ethyl ester-containing compositions in which the progress of oxidation during commercialization processes and product preservation period and the generation of a fishy unpleasant stench peculiar to fish oil associated with them, as well as a fishy stench peculiar to fish oil when ingested are suppressed within an acceptable range in sensory evaluation and to provide foods containing the compositions.SOLUTION: Provided is a composition in which the amount of dissolved oxygen is 1 mg/L or less, the peroxide value is 3 or less, the acid value is 1 or less, and the anisidine value is 5 or less, as well as highly unsaturated fatty acids (in particular the ethyl ester of ω3 highly unsaturated fatty acids) from which peroxide has been removed by adsorbent treatment are comprised.
