PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric cart which can prevent overturning or falling of a vehicle by detecting a state of a road surface in a traveling direction.SOLUTION: An electric cart 10 comprises: a road surface monitoring sensor which is installed directed toward a road surface 80 in a traveling direction of the electric cart 10 with an inclination of a prescribed angle from a horizontal plane 90； a road surface detection part 31 for detecting presence/absence of the road surface 80 on the basis of a road surface detection signal outputted from the road surface monitoring sensor； and a vehicle control part 32 for controlling the vehicle according to the presence/absence of the road surface 80 detected by the road surface detection part 31.
