PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cornea imaging apparatus automatically aligning the XY direction when imaging the endothelium in the periphery of the cornea without being affected by dispersion of curvature radii of the corneal endothelium and epithelium different for every subject, greatly reducing the burden on an examiner and a subject and quickly capturing high-definition endothelial cell images.
SOLUTION: This cornea imaging apparatus is provided with a corneal endothelium image capturing control means 117 for controlling to position an illumination optical system 14 and a corneal imaging optical system 20 relative to a subject eye E based on information of XY alignment reference position determined by an XY alignment reference position determination means Q5 and information of a Z-directional focused position observed by a focused observation light receiving element 44, and capturing the corneal endothelium image of the subject eye E by the cornea imaging optical system 20.
