A medical manipulator (1) has master units (11A, 11B) and treatment tools (2A, 2B). The master units (11A, 11B) each have a storage unit (115). The storage unit (115) stores correspondence relationship between each input mechanism (111, 112) of the master units (11A, 11B) and each part (211, 212, 221, 222) of the treatment tools (2A, 2B). When the master units (11A, 11B) and the treatment tools (2A, 2B) are connected to a controller (15), the controller (15) saves information in the storage unit (115) on a correspondence information saving unit (152). When the information associates a button (112) with a knife unit (221), the controller (15) supplies high-frequency current to the knife unit (221) as an operator (Op) presses the button (112). Because the storage unit (115) is provided at the master units (11A, 11B) rather than the treatment tools (2A, 2B), even when blood, a body fluid, or the like adheres to the treatment tools (2A, 2B), it is possible to reliably provide information in the storage unit (115) to the controller (15).
