PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet detector and a drip counter dispensing with a mechanical configuration for holding a drip tube when they are mounted on the drip tube.SOLUTION: A droplet detector includes: a sensor 12 that responds to a droplet 9 dripping in a drip tube 7 and a housing 14 having a base part 142, a first arm part 144 extending from the base part 142, and a second arm part 146 facing the first arm part 144 with a space S in between, in which the sensor 12 is incorporated. The first arm part 144 and the second arm part 146 are put on the top face of the drip tube 7 disposed in the space S, and hooked on the drip tube 7 by the self-weight.
