Mats or floor linings having surface layers made of solid vulcanised rubber and enclosing at least one layer filled with lumps of elastic material. Esp. for lining stables cow sheds etc. instead of using loose straw for bedding. More resilient than solid rubber or flexible PVC matting, more durable and less permeable than unprotected foamed or expanded matting, easier to clena than replacing straw, waterproof not prone to skidding.
