PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for effectively cultivating plants even with culture soil: and to provide a method for cultivating plants using the device.SOLUTION: The device includes: a primary container 10 in which plants are cultivated a secondary container 20 in which the primary container 10 is housed and a recycling means which introduces discharged liquid discharged from the secondary container 20 to the inlet port 21 of the secondary container 20. The primary container includes: a water-permeable table 14 on which the culture soil is put a setting means 12 for setting the table 14 so as to be apart from the bottom of the primary container 10 and at least two communication holes 11 through which cultivation liquid is flown in or from the underneath of the lower part of the table 14 and which positions at the side surface of the primary container under the table 14. The method for cultivating plants comprises only introducing the cultivation liquid to the secondary container so that the cultivation liquid comes in contact with the lower surface of the table 14 in the primary container where the plants are cultivated. The discharged liquid discharged from the secondary container is reused as cultivation liquid. In reuse of the discharged liquid, the concentration of the fertilizer falling in the discharged liquid is desirably adjusted.COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT【課題】 培土でも効果的に植物を栽培することができる装置、及びそれを用いた植物の栽培方法を提供すること。【解決手段】 本発明の装置は、植物を栽培するための第1の容器10と、第1の容器10を収容する第2の容器20と、第2の容器20から排出された排出液を第2の容器20の入口21に導入する再利用手段を備えている。第1の容器には、培土を乗せるための通水性の台14と、台14を第1の容器10の底から離して設置するための設置手段12と、台14の下部に栽培液を流入又は流出させるための、台14の下部の第1の容器の側面に位置する2つ以上の連通孔11が設けられている。植物の栽培方法は、植物を栽培している第1の容器内の台14の下面に栽培液が接するように、栽培液を第2の容器に導入するだけでよい。なお、第2の容器から排出された排出液は、栽培液として再利用することができる。この際、排出液中に含まれる肥料の濃度を調整しておくことが望ましい。【選択図】図1
