A self-sharpening knife used inside an agricultural blender to cut and mix bales of hay or other foods. The knife includes a generally triangular steel plate whose base is straight or rounded and serrated. The triangular shaped teeth are equipped with a pellet made of a cutting material harder than steel and self-sharpening. The rectangularly shaped pellet having a thin thickness is housed in an encavure of the same shape made on the top or in the center of the tooth, on the top of the tooth it can be arranged at an angle or horizontally. The length of the pellet exceeds that of the steel and ends in a point which rounds over the cuts due to wear.
