PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a greening method intended for reducing an area to be greened of a land for constructing a low-temperature liquid storing tank. SOLUTION: The greening method includes arranging U-shape groove-like planting parts 9 on the entire circumference and mounting and supporting them using anchor bolts 8, on the outside of a concrete wall 2a to be a side wall of an external tank 2 of a low-temperature liquid storing tank 7, planting plants 17 such as high trees and low trees at the planting part 9 formed in a ring-like shape, and providing a planting area 13 on the upper surface of a rooftop 2b of the external tank 2 so as to plant lawn 14 on the like. watering is performed by a sprinkler 15 provided at the rooftop 2b.
