The present invention relates to rice puffs comprising edible insects and a preparation method thereof, wherein the preparation method which includes the following steps: preparing a mixture by mixing grain powder and edible insect powder； adding water to the mixture and kneading to prepare a kneaded product； extruding the kneaded product to produce beads； drying the beads； and heating and pressing the beads before expanding the beads to produce puffs.
