The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition containing microspheres loaded with epidermal growth factor, for parenteral administration to the lower limbs of diabetic patients suffering from chronic ischemic skin lesions. The inventive composition, in contrast with the prior art, is useful in that it reduces administration frequency during treatment and enables the lesions to heal more quickly compared with the administration of identical quantities of the factor when free in solution.
