PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper enabled to enhance a fitness around the waist of a user by extending the entirety of an elastic member arranged around a waist opening part in a well balanced manner.SOLUTION: A disposable diaper 10 comprises: a rear side waist stretchable sheet 85 having an elasticity in a product width direction and arranged in a rear side waist area and a girth holding part extending along a product width direction for holding the disposable diaper on the body of a wearer. The disposable diaper includes a first region R11 having a rear side waist stretchable sheet arranged, and a second region R2 having not a rear side waist stretchable sheet arranged and having an elongation rate lower than that of the first region. The elongation rate of the product width direction in a side region R12 of the first region is lower than the elongation rate of the product width direction in the central region R11 of the first region.
