Discloses an synergistic antimicrobial composition containing a ginseng extract and a green tea extract in a weight ratio from 6:4 to 7:3 and an antimicrobial filter containing said composition and a method for manufacturing them. Said single filter exhibits higher antimicrobial and antiviral efficiency, has little pressure loss and could be produced at lower cost as compared with two systems containing two filters with single antimicrobial agent.
