To provide a human body holding device for safely transferring a person in need of nursing care by reliably holding the person in need of nursing care from the back and front sides and from the right and left sides by an easy procedure and a transfer supporting device using it.
SOLUTION: The human body holding device includes a pair of underarm supporting arms 34, a breast propellent-actuated device board 40 which is provided between the pair of underarm supporting arms 34 and is located to be approximately perpendicular to a sagittal plane of a body and a pair of underarm supporting arm shaft members which are slightly inclined relative to the breast propellent-actuated device board 40 and where the underarm supporting arms 34 are pivotally supported. The pair of underarm supporting arms 34 are mounted ON the underarm supporting arm shaft members through rotatable connecting members. The underarm supporting arms 34 oscillate by the underarm supporting arm shaft members in a holding direction to sandwich a trunk from right, left and oblique directions. The underarm supporting arms 34 are activated to hold the body in the horizontal direction and the front-back direction by force components of the weight applied to the underarm supporting arms 34, and the human body holding device holds the sides to the back in accordance with body types.
