The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a sand type deodorant for a pet toilet, which reduces odor caused from defecation or urination of a pet when being used in a pet toilet for a dog, a cat and the like, and prevents clogging even if being flushed； and to a sand type deodorant manufactured thereby. According to the present invention, the method comprises: a step a) of preparing main and sub materials as a material for manufacturing a sand type deodorant； a step b) of mixing the prepared main and sub materials in a mixer for 3 to 7 minutes to allow the main material to be uniformly soaked into the sub material； a step c) of rubbing and kneading the mixture acquired in the step b) for 5 to 15 minutes； a step d) of shaping the paste acquired in the step c) by a predetermined size through a shaper (roll)； a step e) of inserting the shaped product into a coater (surface treatment device) and rotating the coater for 5 to 15 minutes to perform surface treatment； a step f) of primarily drying the shaped product acquired in the step e) at 25 to 45°C for 2 to 4 hours； a step g) of secondarily drying the primarily dried product acquired in the step f) at 65 to 75°C for 3 to 5 hours； and a step h) of coating secondarily dried sand acquired in the step g) with a mixed solution of a fragrance and a preservative.본 발명은 개, 고양이 등과 같은 반려동물의 화장실에 사용되는 과정에서 반려동물의 배변 또는 배뇨에 따른 악취를 감소시키고, 화장실 변기에 버려도 막힘 현상이 발생되지 않도록 창안된 반려동물 화장실용 모래형 탈취제 제조방법 및 이로부터 제조된 모래형 탈취제에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 따른 반려동물 화장실용 모래형 탈취제 제조방법은, a) 모래형 탈취제 제조를 위한 재료로서, 주재료와 보조 재료를 각각 준비하는 단계； b) 준비된 주재료와 보조 재료를 믹서기에서 3~7분 동안 혼합시켜서 주재료가 보조 재료에 고르게 베도록 하는 단계； c) b)단계에서 얻어진 혼합물을 5~15분 동안 치대면서 반죽하는 단계； d) c)단계에서 얻어진 반죽물을 성형기(롤러)를 통해 일정 크기로 성형가공하는 단계； e) 성형 가공물을 코팅기(표면처리기)에 넣어서 5~15분 동안 회전시키면서 표면을 처리하는 단계； f) e)단계에서 얻어진 성형가공물을 25~45℃ 에서 2~4시간 1차 건조시키는 단계； g) f)단계에서 얻어진 1차 건조물을 65~75℃ 에서 3~5시간 2차 건조시키는 단계； h) g)단계에서 얻어진 2차 건조를 거친 모래에 향료와 보존재 혼합액을 도포시키는 단계로 이루어진다.
