According to an embodiment of the present invention, the device comprises: a body portion； an arm frame connected to the body portion, and rotating in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction； an X-ray generator positioned on an upper end of the arm frame to irradiate X-rays； a photographing table installed at a position corresponding to the X-ray generator and acquiring an X-ray image of a subject breast； a compression unit positioned between the X-ray generator and the photographing table to move up and down and press the subject； a sensor unit disposed inside the photographing table to detect the presence or absence of the subject； and a control unit controlling the driving of the arm frame based on whether the subject is detected by the sensor unit.
