According to an embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for controlling x-ray imaging and an x-ray imaging apparatus including the same are provided. The apparatus for controlling x-ray imaging is used in an X-ray irradiating unit irradiating X-rays to an object to be imaged and a camera capturing an image obtained from X-rays irradiated to the object to be imaged. The apparatus includes a switching unit receiving a user input regarding the imaging start and imaging end of the camera； and a camera control unit controlling the imaging start and imaging end of the camera according to the user input received by the switching unit. The switching unit provides power to the camera control unit or blocks power to the camera control unit, thus enabling the camera control unit to control operations of the camera.
