The present invention relates to a method for preparing an islet microcapsule coated with an immunosuppressant and an islet microcapsule prepared by the method. The islet microcapsule according to the present invention can inhibit inflammatory cell accumulation by encapsulating a heterogeneous islet within alginic acid and then coating the outer membrane with an immunosuppressant dissolved in a biopolymer. Since the present invention needs significantly less - i.e., about ten times less the amount of an immunosuppressant than the immunosuppressant used in typical islet transplantation, the present invention is advantageous for overcoming side effects depending on the amount of the immunosuppressant. Thus, the islet microcapsule coated with the immunosuppressant according to the present invention can be usefully applied to the treatment of diabetes.La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation dune microcapsule dîlot enrobée avec un immunosuppresseur et une microcapsule dîlot préparée par le biais de ce procédé. Selon la présente invention, la micro-capsule dîlot peut inhiber laccumulation de cellules inflammatoires en encapsulant un îlot hétérogène à lintérieur dun acide alginique puis en enrobant la membrane externe avec un immunosuppresseur dissout dans un biopolymère. Comme la présente invention nécessite considérablement moins - cest-à-dire, environ dix fois moins de la quantité dimmunosuppresseur que limmunosuppresseur utilisé dans la transplantation dîlot typique, la présente invention est avantageuse pour pallier aux effets secondaires selon la quantité dimmunosuppresseur.
