PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assist device that can be mounted on a target person easily and can more appropriately assist a baggage lifting operation or a baggage lowering operation by a simpler configuration and simpler control.SOLUTION: An assist device includes a body-worn tool mounted at least around the waist of a target person, and an actuator unit mounted on the body-worn tool and the thigh of the target person, and is provided with angle detection means for detecting a forward inclination angle of the waist with respect to the thigh of the target person, control means, and storage means.
