PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide medical equipment capable of easily and clearly observing an observation target such as a blood vessel, a lymph vessel, nerves or the like present under biological tissues without spoiling workability in treating the biological tissues at the periphery of a portion under observation.SOLUTION: Medical equipment includes: a gripping means 1 which has a pair of gripping parts 1a, 1b gripping biological tissues lying over the observation target and adjacent to an observation-target region and a pair of distance control means 2a, 2b which are set up on surfaces facing the pair of gripping parts 1a, 1b, on at least either of which a lighting means 3 irradiating the biological tissues with light is equipped, and which make the emission part 3a of the lighting means 3 come close to the observation target present under the biological tissues.
