PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control light radiation density of a photoacoustic apparatus, and improve safety property.SOLUTION: A subject information acquisition device comprises: a light source for generating light; an optical system for transmitting light; an injection part for injecting light which has been transmitted by the optical system; a reception part for receiving an acoustic wave generated from a subject to which light is radiated, and outputting an electric signal; and a processing part for using the electric signal for acquiring information of inside of the subject.
