A method for improving the distribution of agriculturally active ingredientson the surface of granules includespreparing a sprayable liquid solution of at least one agriculturally activeingredient, and applying the sprayable liquid solution onthe granules by spraying the liquid solution in atomized form onto the surfaceof the granules to provide a coating on the surface ofthe granules which enables substantially all of the agriculturally activeingredient on the granule to be solubilized by the naturallyoccurring moisture present on the foliage of a treated weed for absorptioninto the cells of the treated weed when the granules areapplied thereto.
