PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition usable for wide-ranging food and drink and medicines, and having inhibiting effects on the formation of finally saccharified products associated with many kinds of diseases such as complication of diabetes, arteriosclerosis, Alzheimers disease, senility and inflammatory reactions and to provide the food and drink, and the medicine containing the composition.SOLUTION: The composition for inhibiting the formation of the finally saccharified product contains a fruit or juice of Emblic myrobalan or an extract thereof.
