A method is disclosed for making a pharmaceutical composition for pulmonary administration comprising a pharmaceutically active protein or nucleic acid particle, the method comprising a step in which the inhalable pharmaceutically active protein or nucleic acid particle is acoustically blended in a resonant acoustic blender.
