PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge-transfer complex which forms a monomolecular film of an acceptor on the surface of a transparent oxide electrode.SOLUTION: A charge transfer complex having a reactive silyl group of formula (1), a transparent oxide electrode using the complex as a surface modification agent and a production method of the electrode are provided. In formula (1), D is an organic electron donor molecule consisting of an aromatic amine; A is an organic acceptor molecule; D is substituted with at least one reactive silyl group of formula (2). In formula (2), Ris a divalent hydrocarbon group or a single bond; Xis an alkoxy group or a hydroxy group; Xand Xare independently a monovalent hydrocarbon group, an alkoxy group or a hydroxy group.
