PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a model animal for cerebral infarction having advantages in unconventionally good reproducibility and long-term survival, and to provide a method for screening using the same. SOLUTION: This model animal for the cerebral infarction is composed by ligating blood vessels of a brain of an SCID mouse (a severe combined immunodeficient mouse).
