The invention also relates to a surgical instrumentation system for fixing the vertebrae posteriorly or posterolaterally, constituted by such an instrument.La présente invention concerne un instrument chirurgical pour la fixation des vertèbres par voie postérieure ou postéro-latérale, constitué par : . un élément tubulaire formé de deux jambages séparés par une zone longitudinale évidée, lesdits jambages étant reliés à leur extrémité distale, . chacun desdits jambages présentant à sa surface interne une rainure de guidage avec une section en queue d'aronde, . un insert présentant deux glissières longitudinales, diamétralement opposées, présentant une section en queue d'aronde complémentaire à la section desdites rainures de guidage L'extrémité proximale de chacun des jambages présente un moyen d'ancrage apte à venir s'engager dans un moyen complémentaire, par un débattement transversal desdits jambages.
