The present invention concerns a surgical instrument for securing vertebrae by posterior or posterolateral approach, consisting of: a tubular element formed from two members separated by a recessed longitudinal area, said members being linked at the distal end of same, each of said members having, on the inner surface of same, a guide groove with a dovetail section, an insert having two diametrically opposed longitudinal rails, having a dovetail section complementary to the section of said guide grooves. The proximal end of each of the members has an anchoring means capable of engaging with a complementary means, by transverse displacement of said legs. The invention also concerns a surgical instrument system for securing vertebrae by posterior or posterolateral approach, consisting of such an instrument.La présente invention concerne un instrument chirurgical pour la fixation des vertèbres par voie postérieure ou postéro-latérale, constitué par : un élément tubulaire formé de deux jambages séparés par une zone longitudinale évidée, lesdits jambages étant reliés à leur extrémité distale, chacun desdits jambages présentant à sa surface interne une rainure de guidage avec une section en queue d'aronde, un insert présentant deux glissières longitudinales, diamétralement opposées, présentant une section en queue d'aronde complémentaire à la section desdites rainures de guidage L'extrémité proximale de chacun des jambages présente un moyen d'ancrage apte à venir s'engager dans un moyen complémentaire, par un débattement transversal desdits jambages. L'invention concerne également un système d'instrumentation chirurgical pour la fixation des vertèbres par voie postérieure ou postéro-latérale, constitué par un tel instrument.
