PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide forceps which can be applied to a soft endoscope without the risk of causing a malfunction or damage.SOLUTION: The forceps include a pair of grip members at the tip of a spring tube 29 operated through a traction rope 9 by a handle 4. In the handle 4 the rotating portion 5 to which the base end of the spring tube 29 is fixed is rotatably provided.
