The portable prone head support device has a head support 12 with face aperture, and frame 14 with pole 18 and ground engaging base 20. The pole 18 spaces the head support 12 from the base 20 and allows the head support 12 to be adjustably positioned relative to an elevated support surface, e.g. by raising and lowering the head support 12. The base may have three legs 32 rotatable between a splayed and contracted, linear position. The pole 18 may be raised or lowered relative to the base 20, or telescopic. The base 20 may have a bore 28 through which the pole 18 passes and is retained by a screw tightener 34. The pole 18 may be offset in connection with the head support 12, which may be inclinable. A platform 42 may be between the base 20 and head support 12 with a sheath 44 to slide up and down the pole 18. The device may be used free standing next to a bed or table for use in massages.
