A changing colour composition on the form of a gel for caring for and/or making up keratin materials is disclosed. The composition comprises in a physiologically acceptable medium, a) from 0.1 to 10% by weight preferably from 1 to 5% by weight relative to the weight of the composition of microcapsules containing releasable colorant(s), said microcapsules comprising: - a core comprising one organic material, - at least one layered coating surrounding said core, the layered coating comprising at least one polymer at least one colorant, and advantageously at least one lipid-based material, b) at least 3% by weight, preferably at least 5 by weight, more preferably at least 8% by weight and advantageously at least 10% by weight relative to the weight of the composition of at least one swelling agent, and c) at least one hydrophilic gelifying agent.Une composition de modification de couleur sur la forme dun gel pour le soin et/ou le maquillage de matières kératiniques est décrit. La composition comprend, dans un milieu physiologiquement acceptable, a) de 0,1 à 10% en poids, de préférence de 1 à 5% en poids par rapport au poids de la composition de microcapsules contenant un/des colorant (s) libérable (s), lesdites microcapsules comprenant :-un noyau comprenant un matériau organique,-au moins un revêtement en couches entourant ledit noyau, le revêtement en couches comprenant au moins un polymère, au moins un colorant, et avantageusement au moins un matériau à base de lipides, b) au moins 3% en poids, de préférence au moins 5 en poids, plus préférablement dau moins 8% en poids et avantageusement au moins 10% en poids par rapport au poids de la composition dau moins un agent de gonflement, et c) au moins un agent gélifiant hydrophile.
