The present invention relates to a remote control device including a fingerprint recognizing sensor and a biometrics sensor and a driving method thereof. The driving method comprises the steps of: confirming if fingerprints of users are recognized via the fingerprint recognizing sensor； activating the biometrics sensor if the fingerprints are sensed； acquiring biometric data of the user through the activated biometrics sensor； and transmitting the acquired biometric data of the user to a display device.
