The invention relates to a method of assisting the driving of an automobile vehicle (1) comprising a control member (5, 6, 8) adapted to control a maneuver of the motor vehicle, comprising steps of: - acquisition of at least one image by means of an image sensor (12) oriented towards a driver (2) of the motor vehicle, and - determining a behavior of the driver of the motor vehicle by analyzing said at least one image. According to the invention, this method further comprises a step of inhibition, as a function of said conductor behavior, of a maneuver controlled by means of said control member. A motor vehicle in which such a method is implemented is also described.L'invention concerne un procédé d'aide à la conduite d'un véhicule (1) automobile comportant un organe de commande (5, 6, 8) adapté pour commander une manœuvre du véhicule automobile, comprenant des étapes de : - acquisition d'au moins une image au moyen d'un capteur d'images (12) orienté vers un conducteur (2) du véhicule automobile, et de - détermination d'un comportement du conducteur du véhicule automobile par analyse de ladite au moins une image. Selon l'invention, ce procédé comprend en outre une étape d'inhibition, en fonction dudit comportement du conducteur, d'une manœuvre commandée au moyen dudit organe de commande. Un véhicule automobile dans lequel est mis en œuvre un tel procédé est également décrit.
