The arrangement has a number of cages with a cover (12), front side (14), back side and two longitudinal sides. A feed gate (36) is provided in the front side with feed spaces (24a-24d) for each hen, where the spaces are arranged next to each other. A feed trough (38) is arranged at outer of the gate, where the spaces are separated among themselves in a longitudinal direction by three vertically running separation walls (44a-44c). A base surface (42) of the spaces is arranged above a base (10) of the cage.
