PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compact pyrolytic residue selecting equipment, and a waste treatment plant having this equipment. SOLUTION: This waste treatment plant is provided with: a residue receiving body 33 for receiving a pyrolytic residue obtained by indirectly heating waste by a pyrolytic reactor 12; a selecting means 34 for selecting the pyrolytic residue by every size in the residue receiving body 33; a crushing means 35 for crushing the pyrolytic residue in the residue receiving body 33; and a cooling means 36 for cooling the pyrolytic residue in the residue receiving body 33, or is provided with two means of an optional combination out of the selecting means 34, the crushing means 35, and the cooling means 36.
