To provide a novel phototherapy drug that is excellent in the effectiveness of phototherapy, stability in phosphate buffer, stability in cell culture medium, and the like, and excellent in balance of those properties, and to provide a production method of the novel phototherapy drug.SOLUTION: A composite material is provided that includes a photosensitizer and a transition metal dichalcogenide nanosheet carrying the photosensitizer, and a drug including the composite material is also provided.
