The present invention provides a method for determining scoliosis using a camera. The method comprises the steps of acquiring an image including an abdomen part of a user by a camera in a preset distance when a scoliosis level measurement mode is executed to recognize a spinal curvature condition； recognizing the abdomen part from the acquired image, and extracting the recognized abdomen part region； performing a primary interpolation of the extracted abdomen part image based on a preset image processing algorithm； performing a secondary interpolation of the primarily interpolated abdomen part image based on the redistribution of a brightness value distribution； and acquiring condition information by determining first and second preset part positions from the secondarily interpolated abdomen part image, and determining a level of scoliosis by calculating scoliosis level data through the acquired condition information by parts.본 발명은 카메라를 이용한 척추 측만증 판단 방법에 있어서, 척추 만곡상태 인식을 위한 척추 측만정도 측정 모드가 실행되면, 기설정된 거리에서 카메라를 통하여 사용자의 배부를 포함하는 영상을 획득하는 과정과, 상기 획득된 영상으로부터 배부를 인식하고, 상기 인식된 배부 영역을 추출하는 과정과, 기설정된 영상 처리 알고리즘에 근거하여 추출된 배부 영상에 대한 1차 보간을 수행하는 과정과, 상기 1차 보간된 배부 영상에 대하여 명암값 분포 재분배에 근거하여 2차 보간을 수행하는 과정과, 상기 2차 보간된 배부 영상으로부터 제1 및 제2 기설정된 부위별 위치를 판별하여 상태정보를 획득하고, 상기 획득된 부위별 상태정보를 통해 척추 측만정도 데이터를 산출하여 척추 측만정도를 판단하는 과정을 포함함을 특징으로 한다.
