PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video processor which improves convenience for users by allowing the selection of a storage format of an image file and the setting of a folder name and a file name to a name that is easily managed by the user depending on the storage format.SOLUTION: A video processor 1 includes: an image processing part 12 for generating an endoscopic image from an image pickup signal input from the outside an encoder 13 for recording the endoscopic image a control part 18 for outputting the endoscopic image to a recording medium 5 and a memory 17 in which at least two storage formats of a DCF form for storing the endoscopic image by a file management structure corresponding to a DCF standard and of a date and time directory form for storing the endoscopic image by a file management structure having a hierarchy structure based on the date and time are registered as the storage format in storing the endoscopic image in the recording medium 5.
