PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quantitative method of an environment-friendly polyoxyethylene-based nonionic surfactant capable of preventing exposure of an operator to a harmful solvent.SOLUTION: An ammonium thiocyanate-cobalt nitrate (II) reagent is added into a sample aqueous solution containing a polyoxyethylene-based nonionic surfactant, and a cobalt thiocyanate (II) complex generated in the sample aqueous solution is quantified by absorbance measurement in the state of the aqueous solution.
