PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cultured blood vessel having an elastic fiber tissue which has a three-dimensional thickness and expresses elastic fiber components essential for the elastic fiber tissues, such as elastin and fibrin, and to provide a cultured blood vessel having an elastic fiber tissue and produced by the production method.
SOLUTION: The method for producing the cultured blood vessel having the elastic fiber tissue includes a process 1 for inoculating a porous substrate comprising collagen and having an average pore diameter of 1 to 30 &mum with fibroblasts at a cell density of &ge1×10
3 /cm2 , a process 2 for culturing the porous base carrying the fibroblasts inoculated in the above-described process 1 in a serum-containing medium to obtain a three-dimensionally cultured elastic fiber tissue sheet, and a process 3 for forming the three-dimensionally cultured elastic fiber tissue sheet obtained in the above-described process 2 into a tubular shape.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
