PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide gummi candy with excellent flavor, improved in not only the effects of making the skin beautiful and controlling intestinal function but also palate feeling, through the addition of collagen peptide and an agar decomposition product, and to provide a method for producing the gummi candy.SOLUTION: The gummi candy includes 0.08-1.5 wt.% of an agar decomposition product fermented by lactic acid bacteria, and 9-20 wt.% of collagen peptide. The gummi candy has ≥80% (w/w) agar decomposition product the number of saccharides of which is equal to or less than six in the agar decomposition product, and ≥50% (w/w) peptide with a molecular weight of ≤5,000 in the collagen peptide. It is possible to give the candy base elasticity by the agar decomposition product besides the effects of making the skin beautiful and controlling intestinal function of the collagen peptide.
