<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently provide a well-balanced collagen from the whole chicken, not from one portion of chicken. <；P>；SOLUTION: The method for extracting a material containing collagen in high content comprises adding water to edible birds from which feather, the internal organs and the legs are removed, boiling the edible birds until the meat is loosened and the skin can readily be peeled and separating a white layer formed on the surface. Chicken is especially preferably used as the raw material among edible birds.
