Compositions for generating antimicrobial activity are described. The compositions comprise: a first phase； a second phase； an enzyme that is able to convert a substrate to release hydrogen peroxide； and a substance that includes a substrate for the enzyme, wherein the first phase and the second phase are immiscible. The compositions may be formulated as colloids, suspensions or emulsions, especially as creams or sprays. Methods of making the compositions are described, as well as their use for the treatment of antimicrobial infections.Se describen composiciones para generar actividad antimicrobiana. Las composiciones comprende: una primera fase； una segunda fase； una enzima que es capaz de convertirse a un sustrato para liberar peróxido de hidrógeno； y una sustancia que incluye un sustrato para la enzima, en donde la primera fase y la segunda fase no son miscibles. Las composiciones pueden formularse como coloides, suspensiones o emulsiones, especialmente como cremas o rocíos.
