Device (A) for isotopically-selective determination of nitrogen monoxide concentrations, comprises a UV source of light (which emits a light of wavelength and electronically energizes 15>NO (I)); and a light detector, where (I) emits the fluorescence light. An independent claim is also included for a method for isotopically-selective determination of nitrogen monoxide concentrations in breathing air, human eliminations, animal eliminations, or degassing of plants and soils, comprising irradiating UV-light on the gaseous sample (to be examined), and detecting the emitted fluorescence light (by electronically energized 15>NO (I)) with a light detector.
